Wedge Shaped Beetle – Red + Black
Only two individuals found so far, by me. Both clinging to a short stem, one in the afternoon in the middle of a field and the other just before sundown. Karingal/Mt Cotton Sct Camp + Vic Pt water treatment plant.
Lady Bug’s + Cycle
This all happened in the garden as I let the grass grow. Somewhere along the way an egg was laid. Out of it came the larva. The larva turned to the pupa and out of it came the Lady Bug. All in a life’s work.
Sweet Daphne
Found in the remnant rainforest nearby, Eprapah. Flowered for about three days, exotic aroma, angelic. Poisonous too.
Scorpionfly – Lacewing
Three individuals here, two from the bush and one from around the light just before dark – hard to get the one on the ceiling – wooden beam.
